That denial led to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AtelierAuctionsg\">lawsuit<\/a> in which Lau said the museum was violating Tanzania\u2019s anti-discrimination act by turning men away even though they\u2019d bought museum tickets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ a-font-body-m     \">The courts agreed, and ordered the museum to make the \u201cLadies Lounge\u201d accessible to every gender. Kaechele, who is married to the Mona\u2019s owner David Walsh, skirted that decision by moving the exhibition into the one place in the museum men wouldn\u2019t willingly enter\u2014the women\u2019s restroom, including the Faux-casso paintings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ a-font-body-m     \">In a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AtelierAuctionsg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">blog post<\/a>\u00a0on Mona\u2019s website explaining the fraud, Kaechele wrote that the exhibition was in part created to \u2018\u201ddrive men as crazy as possible\u2026\u201d but also to\u00a0\u00a0provide \u201ca beautiful space for women to enjoy themselves.\u201d The best way to accomplish the first mandate, Kaechele says, was to fill the exhibition with \u201cinvaluable\u201d objects\u2014all of which were mock-ups and replicas, including plastic jewelry presented as family heirlooms and a mink rug, ostensibly made by Princess Mary\u2019s royal furrier, that was actually made of polyester.
