A release announcing DiQuinzio\u2019s departure did not state where she was headed after BAMPFA.<\/p>\n<p><em>Yale University Art Gallery Hires Met Curator for Prints and Drawings Post<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Freyda Spira<\/strong>, who was formerly an associate curator in the Metropolitan Museum of Art\u2019s prints and drawings department, has been named curator of prints and drawings at the\u00a0<strong>Yale University Art Gallery<\/strong>\u00a0in New Haven, Connecticut. At the Met, she has organized shows devoted to Renaissance prints and drawings, and she is currently at work on a show of 19th-century Danish art co-organized with the Getty Museum in Los Angeles. Her paintings present images of the body, often in the form of fragmented limbs, as meditations on histories of colonization.<\/p>\n<p><em>Blum &amp; Poe Adds Kenjir\u014d Okazaki to Roster<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Kenjir\u014d Okazaki<\/strong>, a Tokyo-based artist and critic, has joined the roster of\u00a0<strong>Blum &amp; Poe<\/strong>\u00a0gallery, which has spaces in the Japanese capital as well as Los Angeles and New York. Okazaki is known for his abstractions that synthesize styles derived from European modernism and ones from Japanese avant-garde movements like Gutai. He is set to have a solo show at Blum &amp; Poe\u2019s L.A. gallery in July.<\/p>\n<p><em>Various Small Fires Now Represents Alexander Harrison<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Various Small Fires<\/strong>, a gallery with locations in Los Angeles and Seoul, has added\u00a0<strong>Alexander Harrison<\/strong>\u00a0to its roster. The artist recently had an exhibition with the gallery last April and has a planned solo show at Kasmin gallery in New York in fall 2022.
